Like most of JOEY management, CEO Jeff Fuller started his remarkable journey flipping burgers, washing dishes and sweeping floors. It's called paying your dues, learning from the ground up and understanding what success takes. "If there's a secret," he says, "it's hard work, unwavering commitment to the customer and assembling the very best people." Jeff absorbed valuable lessons from his family's successful businesses before striking out on his own with a brand new concept in upscale casual restaurants. The first JOEY opened in 1992 and, as word spread, plans for a second location were quickly in the works. Today there are 27 JOEY Restaurants across Vancouver, Kelowna, Calgary, Edmonton, Winnipeg, Toronto, Seattle and California. Our model isn't to repeat formulas but create spaces perfectly suited to the locale and its clientele. These are the small details that make the difference in creating some of the complex and exciting flavour combinations. BarChef and owner Frankie Solarik is one of North America's best mixologists with an ability to create some of the most exciting flavour combinations and constantly creating new cocktails. Sommelier and owner Brent VanderVeen has put together a collection of great value wines, Champagnes, whiskies, Armagnacs and other digestifs. Executive Chef Michael Milson has created a sumptuous menu comprised of international flavours designed to share. Their entire menu is created to pair nicely with the flavours found in their cocktails.

CC is a whisky lounge & supper club, inside the historic Beardmore building, on Front Street East. A unique feature is the custom-made whisky tasting tunnel, with over 100 whiskys from around the world. Food comes way of whisky and cheese pairings and a full dinner menu by Chef Brent Richardson. The large event space caters to parties of 10 to 300.
Riverdale regulars leave the 19-year-old drunkheads in their dust to congregate at this charismatic neighbourhood bar, where, as the name suggests, options at both ends of the scale are in ready supply. That means an order of fried chick peas and a bottle of Labatt 50 are just as accessible as a bottle of Imperial Pumking and a bowl of chili. All of it is enthusiastically consumed inside Hi-Lo's long narrow space, the walls of which are decked out in kitschy concert posters and truly marvelous art.
