John Winter Russell has been cooking professionally for 10 years and has held positions in Eastern and Western Canada and also in the Caribbean. For the last 5 years he has called Montreal home. He's worked in several renowned restaurants such as Van Horne and Pastaga. He opened his Petite-Bourgogne restaurant, Candide, in Fall 2015.

Formerly of Pastaga and Van Horne, chef John Winter Russell has given himself a veritable gift by opening his own restaurant - Candide - located in the structure of St. Joseph Church in the Petite-Bourgogne neighbourhood in southwest Montreal. To honour the occasion, we asked him to name some of his favourite Montreal restaurants where the cuisine changes with the seasons.
