Founded in 1994 in Toronto’s Kensington Market, Fresh Collective has since grown to three Toronto locations.
Specializing in designers from Toronto and Canada, Fresh Collective’s success comes in part from its carrying a number of brands and labels that aren’t found in larger department stores.
“We really support the ‘shop local’ mandate,” explains Laura-Jean Bernhardson, the founder and owner of the business. “There are so many creative and brilliant designers in our city, yet they receive very little attention in the industry compared to foreign labels. We’re trying to promote shopping local without sacrificing quality.”
