The doors of Heritage Garden Gallery (then Heritage Country Gardens) opened at 6867 Wellington Road on May 1st, 1998. The garden centre's roots began already ten years earlier when owners Ys and Grace Boekestyn first bought and operated a wholesale greenhouse operation. A garden centre was the natural next step to sell the many potted plants and annuals grown right on the premises. Heritage joined 'Garden Gallery' in 2012, becoming the 11th Garden Gallery in Ontario.
