Artbeat Studio is a mental health consumer initiated, peer directed, and recovery oriented program. This community-based studio accommodates artists whose mental health, social connection, and income make it impracticable for them, individually, to acquire a workspace where they might advance their artistic technique safely and securely. I've always had a love for fashion, especially Indian design and craftsmanship. I noticed that some of the world's top brands turned to India not just for design inspiration but also for the skills of its local artisans and designers who worked behind the scenes to produce stunning works of beading and embroidery for their collections. Yet, in spite of India's thriving fashion industry, Indian fashion did not have a visible platform outside of India. At the same time, there was a growing demand for high-end traditional apparel by South Asians living outside of the Indian subcontinent and those interested in Indian fashion and culture. But what was missing from this landscape was access and distribution.
