It's a small shop for a small town. Fits the bill perfectly. The owner is wonderful, the food was plentiful and done just rite with the best hollandaise sauce I've had in years.

Be aware there's always a waiting line for breakfast at Melissa's. That alone should tell you how good it is. The servers are great and can become overworked especailly in ski season as customers are rushing for breakfast to catch the next bus up to the ski hills. But we don't ski so our server could get a breath and not have to rush. The food is excellent and service is great. The only thing I'd like to see is senior protions of some of the larger breakfasts the Eggs benny come 1/2 portion but none of the other signiture breakfasts do. I stop at the IHOP 310 nearly every time I go to Kelowna. I like the food and the service plus it is easy to get to and lots of parking. Yesterday I stopped there about 4:30 PM. As I am nearly 73 I also looked at the 55 plus menus. I was surprised to see that items on the 55 plus are about 1/2 the amount of food but the price is the same as on the regular menus. I would have thought the price would have been lower if you were getting less food.
