The roti here is spectacular. They have goat, beef, chicken, veggie, etc.. Just enough heat in the curry, great potatoes, huge portions. So much flavor. It is the best roti I've had, period. The jerk chicken dinner is also very good.
That being said, I have heard some horror stories about the cleanliness of this place. I love that the owner has decorated the place to make it seem like a cultural oasis in an extremely white city, but it just NEEDS TO BE CLEANER. I don't want it yuppiefied. So, stick to food that has high turnover, like the roti.
The uniqueness and quality of the take out at a place like this is something that I would actually miss if I moved away from peterborough. That is saying something. The food is the only reason it is worth risking eating at a place that looks like it could not pass a health inspection.

The name says it all - these guys know FLAVOUR! Some of the most delicious and tastiest dishes we have ever enjoyed. This is a place that everyone must try, whether you are able to swing by their restaurant or their catering. So glad they are back in town and back in the kitchen! Definitely a favourite of ours.

I go there every week or more times with or without friends or clients. You can sit down or take out the food and the staff is great. They make good food that I enjoy very much. The lady can really cook good food. Lots of people go there even though there's a few other caribbean restaurants in the area. I tell many people about Yolas since they came to downtown from the other location. 5 stars for Yolas. yeaaaah

I'll try to keep this short and sweet (like my wife ha) but we will definitely, 100% be returning to this place.
We were in recently and the staff were so nice. We made a day of it and took it all to the lake and it was so nice to be able to enjoy such nice foods. I'd just butcher the pronounciations and whatnot, but suffice to say, you should order a lot of the extras that they have, in addition to the roti, which itself is amazing.
The goat was soft and tender, but gamey too. If you're not a real meat-enthusiast, you may wanna steer clear of goat and get something more pallette friendly, like chiken or the chickpea roti.
The doubles, oh the doubles! A double, from the best I can tell, is like this little chickpea-dough crepe, that is filled with refried beans and then the whole shebang is deep fried. Yeah, it's pretty much heaven. It comes with this hot sauce that really cuts to your core, so be careful. You'll sweat, but as us chiliheads admit, that's what you want. There's also pholourie, which is like a timbit, but made of a lightly-spiced chickpea dough, and it's a really nice, chewie snack that is just amazing.
Well, as you can tell, I'm getting hungry writing this, so I should probably stop. Regardless of that, you should definitely check this place out. They've been there a while and I hope they're there for a while longer too!

Just had the jerk chicken medium size dinner meal, so good and a perfect portion. The place was busy but had my meal within 10 minutes. The rice and peas were perfect the coleslaw was fresh and balanced the spice of the jerk chicken. next visit will be Ox Tail and Curry Goat with a roti on the side so look forward to my review ;)

Hahaha - love the haters comments. So true. Cranky owners but hey, you would be too if you served it up 24/7. BUT... Taste of T&T is tasty. Affordable, good portions. Enjoy before the owners retire.

I have been frequenting the Scarborough location of this restaurant for a few years now, and was excited when they opened a Pickering location, as I work in Scarborough, but live in Whitby. Awesome roti...and a few of my friends from "the islands" agree whole heartedly! The most tender, juicy and tasty chicken roti, you won't be dissappointed!
