Blue Sky was founded in 2009 by owner Carla Knudsen. After working in the dental and medical industry for 13 years, she decided it was time for a change. She bought a flower store that carried a bit of lingerie and called it Blue Sky Flowers & Lingerie. After about a year, she decided her passion was for lingerie and sold the floral part and expanded the lingerie. In 2011, she moved her operations to a bigger location and ventured into the fashion world. Our 4000 sqft store in the Swift Current Mall is filled with brands for women and girls, as well as men's underwear and socks. We carry clothing, outerwear, footwear, bras, and lingerie. Lingerie and bra fitting is a significant part of the shop. Blue Sky offers an expansive selection of bras, including mastectomy bras and forms, as well as post-surgical products. Our team ranges from 6-8 and it's a family affair with 3 daughter-in-laws working for the store. Everyone is trained in bra fitting and has a passion for fashion...

Welcome to The Lyric TheatreThe Lyric Theatre has a long history. It was built in 1912 as a vaudeville theatre. Over time it was converted to a movie theatre and then a night club during the 1980s. After the last night club closed in 2003, the Theatre sat empty for two years.In 2005 a group of Swift Current residents saw the potential of the historic building, and decided it had sat empty long enough. The beauty, sturdy construction, and location of the theatre made it a perfect centerpiece for the city - a place for people to gather and share music, drama, art, and social interaction.Now, the Southwest Cultural Development Group has recreated the space to fit its vision of an accessible, useful place for entertainment and inspiration. Long hours of volunteer work and in-kind donations from local businesses transformed the building from a worn-down bar into a vibrant cultural facility with much to offer.The Lyric was officially reopened in grand style in March 2006; its reopening event Vaudeville Revisited included a variety of both local and national talent in a nod to the buildings roots

The Village of Beechy is located 48 kilometers east of Kyle on highway 342. It is snuggled on the north side hills of a flat valley floor. The west end of the valley is the beginning of the Snakebite Coulee that drains all the flat land and ends its life in the South Saskatchewan River. Beechy is 18 kilometers north of the shore of Lake Diefenbaker, the lake that was formed by the construction of the Gardiner Dam. The village sits in an area shaped by the elbow of the river. This part of the world was surveyed in the 1890s, and it wasn't settled until much later when the homesteaders moved in.The ranchers came first. Robert Cruickshank has been acknowledged as the first Beechy District settler. At the turn of the last century, Cruickshank acquired 50,000 acres of lease on the Beechy side of the water where he set up a home for his family.
