Come celebrate the start of another horse season at the Nelson & District Riding Club.Thursday, May 2nd at 5pm is the Spring Clean Up and Grounds Opening BBQ. You do not have to be a member to help out and have a free dinner! Just infonelsonridingclub.com to let us know you're coming so we can buy enough food for everyone.We will also hold a brief club meeting at the grounds following dinner. Bring shovels, rakes and wheelbarrows if you have them. This usually takes only an hour or two. at most, with enough volunteers – and then there will be a BBQ supplied by the NDRC. Many hands make light work! If you can't make the clean up date and want to help out, there are always opportunities. the exec and we can point you at a much needed task that suits your abilities!Don't forget the chance to win fabulous prizes at each monthly meeting. see you there!

Nelson's community golf course since 1920, Granite Pointe features some of the best greens in the Kootenays, and incredible views of Kokanee Glacier, Kootenay Lake and Nelson's orange bridge. The 18 hole championship golf course plays host to numerous fun and competitive tournaments throughout the season, and has a full list of golf amenities, including driving range and putting green, and a fully stocked pro-shop.
