The most widely accepted reason for the choice of the name Broadview was the fact that Broadview was situated on a wide expanse of unexplored territory. The Native Indians had to traverse many miles to get wood for fuel. The name was bestowed upon it during the construction of the Canadian Pacific Railway in 1882 when this was the west end of rail and the only 'view' was a vast expanse of prairie.

We are, as the name suggests, a friendly and enjoyable social club with a very simple aim, to promote stimulation and friendship in a relaxed setting for those in their late years. We have been operating for over 57 years. The club was established on 31st October 1956. It has been our objective from the day one to provide excursions, entertaintmet and socilaising opportunities for the over 60's from Wellow and the surrounding villages.

View Photo GalleryOur 18 hole course has two distinct nines. With the front having more trees, tighter fairways and smaller greens. The back nine is longer with bigger greens and more bunkering. The front nine offers some great vistas of the surrounding countryside and even of the city of Weyburn.We would like to invite all golfers out to the Weyburn Golf Course to enjoy the best greens in Southern Saskatchewan. Two different river systems and numerous ponds create plenty of obstacles around this par 72, 6515 yard layout.

Come enjoy a savory meal at Club Cafe. Their atmosphere has been described as casual. You can even enjoy the sunshine on their terrace and can get there by car.
