The Ontario Command of The Royal Canadian Legion is comprised of over four hundred (400) branches throughout Ontario. With a total membership of over 160,000 the Ontario Command of the Legion is the largest service oriented organization in Ontario.This branch has two halls with kitchen. Seating for up to 435 people. We cater to birthday parties, weddings, showers, Christmas parties, business meetings, functions.
House of Friendship was founded in 1939 by local Christian churches and was originally located on King Street in downtown Kitchener. It had a reading room, a dining room and emergency food assistance. The founding director was Joseph Cramer, a Jewish Christian immigrant who came from Russia via the US. This mission was a response of the local Christian community to the physical and spiritual needs of immigrants and disadvantaged individuals regardless of race or creed in the volatile era of the late 1930's. Over the years through the efforts of many volunteers and staff House of Friendship has served thousands of low-income people and has become a vital part of the social service network of the Region of Waterloo. Presently, the agency serves over 42,000 women, men, youth and children annually. Program areas include addiction services, community services, family services and residential services. The Community Resource Centre is a "community benefit agency." Our vision is a community where everyone has a chance to succeed. Our Child Care and Ontario Early Years programs support families in helping their children reach their full potential while our Outreach and Support Services work with families most in need. Because the first six years of life are so important...". Our Child Care Program is professionally led by qualified Early Childhood Educators. The facilities are licensed by the Ministry of Children and Youth Services. Our goal is to provide a safe, caring and nurturing environment for children aged 2 1/2 to 12 years old. Preschool programming is available Monday to Friday from 7a.m. to 6 p.m. at our Fergus sites, J.D. Hogarth School and St Joseph School.

Our qualified therapists are trained to work with you on troubling matters at home, the workplace or in your personal life. Stress, anxiety, depression, addiction, abuse - everybody needs a little help now and then. No appointment needed walk in counseling is held every Wednesday at the Guelph location. We also have locations in Fergus and Mount Forest. We also have Service Coordinators to assist those clients with developmental challenges.
