A great store to shop in.....the kind, helpful staff are a bonus to us shoppers. Myself, am an 80 yr old widow & don't mind at all driving down to your store as its always had my needs/wants & at times have friends accompany me on the drive down.
But as I live in Innisfail, don't receive your weekly flyers so would be SO NICE if I for one could receive it on line. When I opened up this page, I didn't notice anywheres where I could click on for your Flyer. Please advise why
Thank you

Bowden Public Library officially opened on October 29, 1955, in a room of the local hotel (rented for $15/month). Many books were donated, and more were bought with fundraising and grant money. By the end of 1955 the library boasted 1500 volumes, and had to move to a larger space in the Walter Sick Building in 1957.
In 1986, the first library board was formed. They succeeded in their goal of opening a small library the following year. The library was originally located in the back room of the village office, and in its first annual report it had twenty-eight members. In 1989, the library was moved into the converted fire hall adjoining the village office, and it remains there to this day. Thanks to the Alberta Community Facility Enhancement Program, the library had a much needed renovation in 2000. A bequest in 2003 enabled the board to convert the unfinished back room into an office and storage space, thereby creating room for a small children's area with new shelving.
This historic TRADING POST has been serving the community in the same location beside the centuries old Stoney Trail, for over 90 years. It was Jack Elsdon who came to the area and began a trucking business and trading with the native people. The business is still in the same family.
We specialize in genuine NATIVE CRAFTS, MOCCASINS, MUKLUKS, the real Cowichan Knitwear and much more. Visiting the Trading Post is indeed, a unique shopping experience. Where else can you shop around the warmth of the trusty wood stove amidst the aroma of freshly hand tanned hides and by chance, meet one of the native or local artists bringing in their goods to sell!
We hope you will visit and experience the warm hospitality and a subtle mingling of the old and the new.
