North west Counselling Centre is a locally owned, professional, private institution. It has continually grown since 1987. It is the major Counselling, Therapy and Training Service provider for the Northwest region. The three owners/Executive Directors of Northwest Counselling Centre have lengthy ties to this region. The directors are Lynn Hughes, Lorna Sandhals and Mary Papais. Staff members include full and part-time experienced professionals. Our counselors are a multidisciplinary team bringing a variety of expertise and a collaborative approach. The client is thus assured of the best possible service. All members are registered with their respective licensing bodies of BC and Canada. Northwest Counselling Centre enjoys the universal respect of all clients requiring counselling, therapy or training services. We manage BC Government contracts with the Ministry for Children and Family Development and Youth Forensic Psychiatric Services. Our team of professionals has skills and expertise to handle a vast range of agency referrals. We receive our referrals from the Ministry for Child and Family Development, Youth Probation Services, Mental Health, Band Social Workers and various other agencies in the community. Locally, we have worked closely with all relevant community agencies as referral resources for our clients.
