Please welcome her to the GEWC team!Marlies Guenther, I was born in Vancouver and have lived here for most of my life, except for a brief period in the 80's when I lived in Ontario, where a lot of my family is from. I also spent 10 years living on the Sunshine Coast in a small town called Egmont. I now call sunny (!) Port Coquitlam home and have lived here for 3 years. I have spent most of my career in the accounting field and after nearly 20 years of working as an accountant in various industries including manufacturing, heavy equipment, and construction, I decided to start my own bookkeeping business. I truly love what I do and never tire of crunching numbers . When I have free time, I like to spend it outdoors taking in all that the west coast has to offer. I enjoy cooking and entertaining and am passionate about learning and self-improvement. I also love spending time with my 10 month old puppy, Shelby.I am very excited about joining Lynne and the team at the Golden Ears Winter Club. I look forward to learning all about the curling world and meeting the members of the Club.

We provide comprehensive eyecare, pediatric occupational therapy, brain injury assessments and vision training. Our clinic is dedicated to helping children and adults improve visual, motor, and other sensory skills to become more effective tools for school, sports, work and play. We are centrally located in Walnut Grove, just off Highway 1, in Langley. Vision problems may go unnoticed by teachers and parents. Learning, attention and behaviour challenges are common when visual development is delayed. Correcting these problems promotes comfort, confidence and ability to learn. Children do not need to know the alphabet or even speak to have an eye exam. We recommend that all children have routine eye exams at 6 months of age and yearly thereafter. We also offer pediatric occupational therapy, which can have a great impact on a child's life. Children with delayed gross and fine-motor skills, balance, and coordination problems can have a tough time. We can help. Call our office today!

Our building is brand new, designed specifically for children with floor to ceiling windows to capture the natural light, air conditioning for comfort during the summer and brightly coloured walls to stimulate the imagination. Our experienced staff utilize emergent curriculum to engage children. Emergent curriculum encourages children to contribute their ideas with educators using these ideas as a framework for curriculum development. Finally, parents appreciate our online webcam monitoring that allows parents to view their children from work or at home.
