Distress Centre Peel provides free 24 hour telephone support, crisis intervention, and referral to other agencies where appropriate, for people in distress in Mississauga, Brampton and the Town of Caledon.
CCVT is proud to present its annual conference in honor of June 26th, the United Nations International Day in Support of Survivors of Torture, 'Religion, Peace, and Violence: A Multifaith Dialogue on Liberation and Justice'. A panel of scholars, religious leaders, and activists representing the perspectives of their faith traditions, will discuss the role of religion in advancing peace, compassion, and solidarity with the oppressed. The dialogue will interpret and explore the potential of religion as a force for liberation and justice, as part of the humanitarian project in which we are all engaged.
