First and foremost, the Festival des traditions du monde de Sherbrooke is a grand gathering, a place of discovery, of surprises and of joyous meetings, a unique window onto the world, a door open to diversity. Since its inception in 1998, the harmonization of inter-ethnic relations through the celebration and promotion of the various traditions of the world is at the heart of the priorities of the organization. Through the interpretation of professional and amateur performances, culinary offerings, artistic creations and sports competitions, the various cultural communities work together to present and showcase, during the five days of the event, the beauty of their heritage and traditional values.
The International Balloon Festival of Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, the biggest gathering of balloons in Canada, is a major event for all the family. With an average of 450,000 visitors per year, the event's popularity has risen steadily throughout the years and employs a strategy based on three essential elements: the enchantment of Laurentian Bank hot air balloon flights and Night Glows, free animation for the whole family, and major shows nightly. There are 125 hot air balloons, including many special shapes, major shows, and a huge site that hosts an incredible variety of animation activities.
Our mission : Offer International festivalgoers an exceptional experience that encompasses the colourful flights of hot air balloons, exciting entertainment, and artistic presentations as it caters to the needs of its people and maintains strong relations with them while promoting economic and recreational development.
