Musquash Fire Rescue Department is a Local Service District Fire Department with over 40 all volunteer members. We have been serving the communities of Chance Harbour, Dipper Harbour, Lepreau, Little Lepreau, Maces Bay, Musquash, and Prince of Wales since January 1, 1987 providing Fire Suppression, Rescue and Auto Extrication Services and other assistance in times of crisis. It is an honour to serve as Fire Chief with the Musquash Fire Rescue Department. As Fire Chief, I am responsible for insuring the fire safety of the residents that we serve, as well as the safety and well being of those firefighters under my command. Our volunteer firefighters are dedicated to protecting and supporting our community with hard work and training however, we cannot insure your fire safety by ourselves – you must play a part, so please ensure the safety of your home, your family, and your life.
We invite and encourage you to explore the Departments which offers useful information on each of our individual departments including such areas as their History, Membership, and Apparatus and Equipment. Many of our departments have hall facilities that are available for community use.Our volunteers participate in many community activities, support important charities and sponsor several special events each year for you and your familiy to enjoy.
On Behalf of the Members of the Greenwich Fire Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. The Greenwich Fire Department was established in 1933, in a small, single bay building. It has since evolved into a 4 bay fire station with a large hall upstairs. We operate with 5 fire trucks; 2 pumpers, 1 tanker, a rescue truck and a van. We provide services to the Hamlet of Greenwich, The Municipality of the County of Kings, and other outlying areas, as well as provide mutual aid assistance to our neighboring Departments.
