In 1948 a small group of young people from East Aldergrove decided to hold Sunday School classes in the Brookswood area. Using the Brookswood Community Hall they held classes every Sunday afternoon. The classes were well received, the children came and attendance grew. In 1958 the East Aldergrove MB Church youth group started a fund to raise money for a permanent Brookswood Church building. They purchased an acre of land on 36th Avenue in 1959 and services began officially on November 22, 1964 with 17 charter members. After many happy years in this building the congregation moved, in 1977, to it's current location on 22nd Avenue.

LRGC has grown to the point where it can no longer operate effectively as a small closed society. We once need to grow to maintain our individual shooting disciplines, our membership, and our facilities.

Young Adulthood is where we cement our identity, develop beliefs, friends, families and/or career. Adulthood is the 'sandwich generation' for many North Americans raising children and supporting the elderly while often handling careers
