Cochrane Child Care Centre; located at 435 Tenth Avenue. Garde D’Enfants de Cochrane; a Francophone child care centre located at 399 8th Street in the Nouveau Regard School.

Conseil scolaire catholique Franco-Nord operates 14 French catholic elementary schools and 3 French catholic secondary schools in Mattawa, Bonfield, Astorville, Thorne, North Bay, Sturgeon Falls, River Valley, and Verner. These schools offer a continuous French-language program starting in junior kindergarten and going on through to grade twelve. The North Bay Daycare and Learning Centre was the first licensed childcare centre in North Bay! We have been operating since 1973. We are a Government licensed and subsidized child care provider. Our child care centre is associated with The Early Years Centre and One Kids Place. Our goal is to help children with special needs improve developmental skills, both physically and cognitively. Our staff are qualified, Early Childhood Educators, and possess ECE College diplomas along with First Aid and CPR certificates. Some of our staff have been working at our centre for more than 30 years.
