East Oro Public School is located on the Eleventh Line of Oro-Medonte Township north of Highway 11 at the 15/16 Sideroad. It is approximately 10km south of Orillia and 20km north of Barrie. The school opened in 1956 combining students from the one-room schoolhouses of Argyle, Rugby, Hawkestone, Nevis, Mitchell Square, Leith's Corners and Jarratt. In the spring of 2003, a six-room addition was built to accommodate our growing community.

Le Jardin des Petits offers French-language services for families in the Orillia area such as daycare, summer camp, tutoring, and homeschooling programs.
Since its inception in 1989 BANAC has actively developed and delivered a number of initiatives throughout Simcoe County, Muskoka, and northern York Region. Our primary objective is to serve as a regional social health and planning organization functioning as an incubator of ideas in areas where a strong regional voice is needed.Our current initiatives include Aboriginal community development in the areas of child care, health planning, social development, and support to seniors and families.
