Family-owned and operated, CF Fence manufactures premium fencing and farm and ranch related products. Based out of the Southern Okanagan in Oliver, British Columbia, Canada, CF Fence began in a barn in December, 2001. When Proprietor, Alan Cossentine discovered gate openings on his property were not standard sizes, necessity became the mother of invention. Because he wanted to upgrade the gates from old heavy wooden ones to new, lighter weight, easier-to-open pipe gates, he either had to rebuild the openings to accommodate standard gate sizes or make his own custom gates. Alan and a friend started building gates and panels and CF Fence was born. Later when Alan discovered that the large square bales he had for his cattle wouldn’t fit into his feeders, he built a rectangular bale feeder to fit the bill. As word spread to farmers and ranchers that there was a place to get custom gates and panels, orders started coming in.
