In 2006 Chang Hong from Korea was the medalist by a record-breaking 10 strokes. In 2007 seven Canadians were among the 16 players to earn cards Friday as the Canadian Tour's Spring Qualifying School wrapped up in B.C.

Once a strawberry farm owned by the Chinese, Hackers has been a haven for a long time. The Chaplin family bought the land in 1976; ten and a half acres of beautiful green earth, to mold and shape into a golf course. John and Helen Kastelein purchased the course in 1981 and established the Hackers Haven name. At a starting rate of a $1.50 for adults and a $1 for kids, it has come along way and gone through many changes to become what we now enjoy.
