The Timmins Golf Club was established in 1922 by the Hollinger Mine in an effort to encourage employees to come to Timmins and work for the Mine. After the Hollinger Mine closed and sold the Golf Club to the membership in 1974, it was renamed Hollinger Golf Club. In 2001, the Hollinger Golf Club expanded from its original 9 hole facility to include a championship 18 hole course. Incorporated August 9, 1922, the Hollinger Golf Club now boasts the new Highlands / Lakelands courses that combine to make the new 18 hole course. The original 9-hole course was closed in 2007 after the beginning two holes had to be sold back to a mining company because of mining subsidence issues.

The Island Brae Golf Club is a 9-hole semi-private golf facility located on Morrison's Island, near Pembroke, Ontario. The course features beautiful views of the Ottawa River and the hilly landscape of the surrounding area. The signature hole is #5, a 476-yard, par 5, featuring the Ottawa River on the left side, Honey Locus trees to the right of the green, and an eight-foot, steel monument of a golfer located between the tees.
