While on vacation with his wife Brenda they toured a granite quarry, and Ted became interested in the industry. In 2006 Ted’s son Reay joined the team at The Old Barn. Reay had previously worked in the radio industry, but missed working with his hands and decided to change career paths when the opportunity presented itself. The Old Barn was an active farm until 2003, when Ted purchased the house and barn from his mother and step-father.
