It all started when I was 12. My mom was not the greatest at combing hair, so I started doing my own. Since I did such a good job, I had to start styling my mom and sister's hair as well. Eeek! Friends and family encouraged me to earn a cosmetology license in 1999. It changed my life --the ability to take something and make it more beautiful was so exciting! Almost immediately, I opened Serendipity Salon to celebrate the beauty and diversity of the Bay Area. Back then, there were virtually no multi-cultural or LGBT-friendly salons.It has been a beautiful challenge using cuts, hair color, extensions, perms and relaxers to set free the potential I see within each client.I love making people feel confident for special events -- such as job interviews, first dates, etc. Three of my passions are color, extensions and cuts! My profession as a stylist has taken me to hotel and wedding chapels ,concert venues, trade shows around the country. I enjoy sharing in making your special day beautiful

While The Salon was established by Sal Longo in 1994 in Century Place, we relocated to the downtown village of Belleville across from City Hall in 2001. The Salon is now owned and operated by long-time employee Jenna Patane. At The Salon we continue to provide the latest trends in hairstyling and exceptional customer service in a friendly atmosphere that our loyal clientele have grown to love. So come visit us for your hairstyling needs - we love to see new faces and welcome walk-in clients, too. The Salon & SPAH is open Monday to Saturday and some evenings throughout the week.
