One of the best businesses in the Edmonton area. Excellent staff and the owner is more the accommodating. The kennel itself is located in a very safe, offset tree'd in area on the outskirts of Edmonton. My dog comes home to me exercised, properly fed and smiling. Well worth the drive even if you and your pet are not close by.

This is a fantastic place to leave older dogs. Twilla and her staff will stop at nothing to ensure their comfort and happiness. She sends txt msgs to update, too! She's very encouraging to those of us who are nervous about leaving our dogs.
Jackson is an older dog and had never been left in a kennel before so we were quite concerned but Twilla put our worries to rest and we so appreciate everything she and her staff did for our boy, Jackson. He was nothing less than happy wiggles when we arrived to collect him and when Twilla called him over to say goodbye...he couldn't get to her fast enough. He loves her!! I won't go anywhere else!

We dropped our pups off while we had a much needed vacation. I’m not a fan of travel, so my dogs have never been kennelled. I was quite nervous to leave them at first, as I wasn’t sure how the dogs would do, but the staff posted pictures that we looked for every day which really helped. The kennels were large and clean, which were great as I have giant breeds.
When I picked my dogs up, they were happy, freshly washed, and looked really good. Thank you so much!

We were so impressed with Better Than Home ...it's just about Better Than Home! We love that our two large breed ladies have so much space for excercise and socializing. Gord the owner clearly loves dogs (he has 5 of his own!) and knows how to handle them as alpha. The facilities are new and very clean - the owner's vision is apparent at this perfect locale. My dogs are allowed on my couch and I REALLY loved to see the TV room at Better Than Home where they can cuddle on the couch with Gord or stretch out at his feet and chew a bone. At J and N Kennels, our goal is to create a comfortable, loving atmosphere so that you, as pet parents, can feel secure in your choice to board your furry friend. We know you are trusting us with a part of your family, so they will be treated like a part of ours every single visit.
We provide special care and attention for your pets while you are away. We allow them to relax and be a part of our family as they adjust. They receive more private one on one time for no additional cost. We do everything possible to make their stay with us a very enjoyable one. We can also send pictures to you of your pets while you are away via email and allow families to stay in contact with us throughout their time away should they want to. All pets staying with us must have when checking in, their current veterinary record to ensure all shots are up to date and we need to record your vet's information on your pets file in case of an emergency. All dogs must be vaccinated for kennel cough. By appointment only we welcome first time customers to visit our kennel Monday through Friday.
