This repair studio is great. Repaired my grandfathers violin - took some time but worth the wait. Considering Ms. Turgeon is busy with repairs 24/7 I am impressed with the amount of time and explanation she spent with us regarding what was needed to restore our violin. Sometimes hard to get in touch with by phone (I can see why), yet always replys to email. Best set up an appointment if you have to see her.

I came in looking to buy a violin, and Rino showed me around and let me play everything in the shop, even instruments wildly out of my price range, just for the experience. As an advanced student, just a few weeks of practicing on this instrument has completely transformed my playing, and I deeply regret the literal years I wasted being held back by a poor instrument.
Rino is the most prestigious luthier in Vancouver and he actually knows what he's doing. Highly recommended.

Lemuel Violins is a family-owned retail company in the small town of Mt. Elgin, Ontario, Canada, about half hour east of London or one hour west of Toronto. The company was founded by Leif Luscombe, a violin maker, in year 2000 (under the name Luscombe Violins Inc). After a few years, it became one of the major online sources of violin making supplies and tools. In March 2010, the company was taken over by Lemuel Huang, a violinist with several years in the sale of stringed instruments and accessories.

In 1991 David received a Diploma in Guitar Building and Repair from Douglas College in a program run by master luthier Michael Dunn. He went on to work for Canada’s premier guitar builder Jean Larrivee and then ran his own full service repair shop in Victoria BC. In addition to repairing David also builds acoustic guitars and is currently constructing parlour guitars modeled after a Bruno that was originally constructed in New York City in 1886.
