As an 18 year old, Chris Hotchkiss began delivering mattresses while attending Saint Mary’s University in Halifax. Before long he was promoted to sales and his passion for the home furnishing industry was born. In 2010, with the help of family and friends, Chris opened the first Hotchkiss Home Furnishings store on Prospect Street in Fredericton. Since then Chris’ life and business have grown considerably. He and his wife Elise added two beautiful children, Max and Evie and the business has added two new stores, Grand Falls, NB and Dartmouth, NS. Throughout the growth and changes, the company has stayed consistent with what the Hotchkiss brand represents, a friendly, family business.
