This province-wide initiative funded jointly by the Government of BC and Doctors of BC has been launched across the province, offering important localised initiatives, to better health care services in each community.

We assist people with developmental disabilities by: Providing individual residential supports - in homes, apartments and family settings. Educating and supporting adults in consumer skills, employment preparation and placement, volunteerism, and social/recreation/leisure abilities. Supporting children in child care settings. Advocating for, and responding to, all related developmental disability issues. We do this by: Planning with families and others who care about the people we support. Working with government, businesses, neighborhoods, schools, community groups, service clubs and others who share our goals and objectives. Family and Children Services Family and Children Services offers programs which promote and facilitate inclusive opportunities for children and youth. Adult Home Support Services currently operates five licensed community homes, each providing staff support 24 hours per day. Individuals living in these homes have varying levels of need for assistance with activities of daily living. Each is encouraged to participate fully in household routines with staff offering dignified and respectful support as needed. Respite Services MACL Family Respite Services provide screened and approved caregivers to families in support of their children (adult or child) with developmental disabilities. Respite provides up to 24 hour/day support to families referred by Community Living British Columbia (actual days per year determined by CLBC).
