The Grand Trunk Pacific and the Social Landscape,' will open on April 23rd at 5:30 pm in the museum gallery. This exhibition uses a social history perspective to explore the decision to construct the railway through Northern B.C., the challenges faced by builders and administrators, and the ramifications for the people living in what would become Prince George. Along the way, the exhibit discusses early land speculation, construction worker camp life, and the Grand Trunk Pacifics influence on the citys layout and landmarks.This is a reflective and comprehensive look at the motivations behind the construction of the railway and offers a view of its consequences for the city.

Valemount, British Columbia History and Historic Railway StationAbout Us Valemount Museum, located in the Valemount Historic Railway Station, British Columbia has something for every member of the family.The museum has three levels in the main building with displays on rail camps and towns, a model railway, Japanese Internment Camp display, Valemount Pioneers and war hero's, Margaret McKirdy sculptures, James Vanslyk Art, a Pioneer Kitchen, Early Settlers stories and items, Outfitting and Trapper's Cabin display. We also have a restored CN Caboose as well as logging and farming artifacts located in the museum annex.We have a gift shop with locally published books and pamphlets as well as CN items.The Valemount Museum is a designated Heritage Railway Station/building
