Welcome to Studio Visconte! I have been teaching music for twenty years now, and my teaching style is distinct in that I adjust my approach to the unique needs of each student. I believe that learning music can be more than just reading notes on a page and taking exams; I believe in nurturing each student's innate musical ability and helping them to express it in their own way. I hope to instill in them a life long appreciation for music.
Are you looking for a music teacher for private lessons, piano and voice? I teach beginner students as young as 5 up to and including adults and seniors, or those with some music background who want to start up lessons again or continue from where they previously left off. I use a wide range of music books and programs that are available at most music stores. In addition to learning to play piano and technique I also teach theory. For voice lessons, I follow a basic program using vocal warm ups, a variety of songs including folk, Disney, pop and country genres.
I encourage my music students to participate in a music recital whether it is at Christmas or in the spring. I have a Bachelor of Education with a Major in Music; I have my Grade Piano in Royal Conservatory as well Grade 2 Theory. In addition to being a qualified music teacher, I am an experienced performer. I have played piano as a soloist in Music Festivals and Recitals.
