Little Scholars Child Care was established in 1997 by Sechelt Community Church to meet the needs of the expanding Sechelt community. We now have 40 children ages 30 months to Grade 7 and a dedicated staff of 7. Through much prayer the Lord's provision was seen in generous donations from the Sechelt Community Church, the Provincial Government, the Vancouver Foundation, and the Sunshine Coast Credit Union with which we were able to make the necessary renovations to open the child care and provide two professionally designed play yards. Little Scholars Child Care is a community of children, teachers, support staff and administrators that live by a set of very important attributes called the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To keep these attributes, the fruit of the Spirit, in remembrance we have them written with stones in our sidewalk. They remind us daily to focus on building foundations for success - in education, literacy, music, physical, social, and spiritual development. Little Scholars Child Care welcomes you to learn more about our activities and accomplishments.
