I had a ring custom made for my wedding about 20 years ago. It was a simple wedding band with a raised image of a fish and a line that went diagonally around and ended with my birthstone, an emerald, representing a lure. My finger became swollen at one point and had to have him cut it from my finger then repaired and resized. The stone fell out some years later and the owner replaced it with no qualms. The ring outlasted the marriage yet I still wear it because I like it so much. Thanks so much
