Food was AMAZING. Best pub grub on the south end of Van Isle! Our waitress (even though she was NEW) was fabulous and bubbly and happy and every staff member was there to be of service. We had a great time and the waitress balanced her attention at our table with perfect timing. Best pub burger and fries around. So happy with our experience, we will 100% be back.

The Spirit of the Island represents our philosophy of serving fresh local West Coast cuisine and in house hand crafted ales and lagers nestled within beautiful landscaping and natural west coast wilderness. The Longwood Brew Pub is central Vancouver Island's only Brew Pub and Nanaimo's favorite rendezvous destination. Our traditional ales are hand drawn using classic original English beer engines and are served at a cellar temperature of 10 Centigrade (50 F.) while out cold ales and lagers are served out of our custom ceramic beer towers at 5 Centigrade (40 F.) These serving methods and temperatures allow our patrons to enjoy our beers in the manner and temperature that they were meant to be.
