The variety of materials we incorporate into our work is as varied as the types of jobs we do. The selection of substrates is based on: longevity, exposure, complexity, strength, and budget. The greatest change in the sign industry over the last ten years has been the evolution of Digital Printing. Thermal printers such as the Gerber Edge® and have been in use for over 15 years, and are still invaluable as short run decal machines. Solvent inkjet printers have been around for a while too, and are now very reliable. The newest machines are UV printers which print directly onto sign materials.
