The Academy of fine Sewing and Design is a fully equipped school and studio offering students of all levels professional instruction in garment construction, fit, pattern drafting and alteration. The school is dedicated to helping students achieve success through small classes, professional techniques and quality equipment. Specialty workshops on a variety of topics are offered. The studio is equipped with Swiss-made Bernina sewing machines and sergers, Gingher scissors, Olfa rotary cutters, Ott lites, plenty of windows and full spectrum lighting. It features large cutting tables, professional pressing systems and individual student worktables. Students will also find a well-stocked reference library. The Academy of fine Sewing & Design is owned and operated by internationally renowned instructor and designer Kathryn Brenne. Kathryn is a contributing editor to Vogue Patterns magazine, designer of the Travel Skirt pattern and producer of the instructional CD Sewing Leather.
