I had a wonderful experience with Dave at Oak Bay Cobbler (and I'm sorry it has taken me so long to leave this review). I was turned away by another cobbler who told me my Doc Martens that I had stupidly put through the washer and dryer in an attempt to shrink the leather (Reddit told me to!) which left them deformed (obviously), were a lost cause. Dave, however, said if I wanted to come back and use his tools I could work on the shoes myself. I fixed them. He didn't charge me. Go to Dave :)

I took in 2 pairs of golf shoes. One just needed heel lifts. The other pair - which are well worn over the last 3-4 years. Ali said it would be $75.00 for clean up this pair. Thought was high but paid it anyway. When I picked them up one week later - OMG the pair that he cleaned up were just like new. He even washed the laces and cleaned the spikes. I could not buy (good quality golf shoes for $75.00 was well worth the money. Oh and the other pair fit perfectly. Will recommend him
