One of the nicest and friendliest little pubs around. Wonderful atmosphere, great beer selection, terrific food exceeds typical "pub" fare. Live acoustic music featuring top notch local and touring performers makes this place a "must stop" if travelling in or near the lovely little town of Gananoque.

A couple of friends and I went in for dinner about a week ago. As soon as we sat down the waitress was over to take our drink orders. We all decided to get the special of roasted chicken with a mushroom sauce, it was absolutely to die for. The portions were large and potatoes and green beans were cooked to perfection.
For dessert we shared a pumpkin creme brulee between the three of us. It was so decadent.
Overall I would highly recommend this restaurant for someone who is looking for a great pub in Kingston

The Toucan and Kirkpatrick's is one Kingston's best Irish-British Pubs. This is, "the local," for many 21-40+ Kingstonians.
The Great selection of beers and liquor, live music at least one day a week, daily specials and sunday breakfast special, make this establishment a favorite. The staff is friendly, and the food is reasonably priced and is usually quite good. However, this place is a Pub first, then a Restaurant. It is solid UK+US "Pub Grub." Wings, Nachos, Meat Pies, Bangers and Mash Fish n' Chips are reliably awesome.
The review below is not an accurate depiction of the place, however, it may well take 45mins on a Sunday morning or afternoon to get food quickly due to the $3.50 breakfast special and the hangover destructing properties inherent to the aura of the toucan, which draw many over-zealous drinkers.

I agree with the previous poster. Arguably the best fish and chips in Kingston. The batter is light, crispy and the fish is fresh and not mushy or watery. Good beer selection as well.
Dont pass this place up if you are a fan of fish and chips.

i hav e been going to the brass since i came to kingston for school five years ago. the brass isnt really known for its food for good reason, its a bar, but there breakfest hits the spot on a hang over sunday. have you ever noticed that the brass has the best looking staff in kingston? Nothing like being served beer by beautiful women!!!!! it doesnt really get any better then that!!!!!!
