Kirby is an extremely accomplished health care provider. He is very knowledgable and is able to explain the diagnosis and treatment to the patient in an understandable fashion. In his clinic, there is an easy sense of confidence. His use of humour and his affable manner put people at ease and help them feel comfortable. excellent dentist Great staff Had my daughters wisdom teeth removed while asleep and was done early No swelling or pain. He even called that night to check on her. Never had a dentist do that for me when I had a tooth removed

BCAA helped connect me with Cody at Western Auto Wreckers & Towing for a tow out of a ditch on a forest service road. They went out of their way, literally out of their catchment, to help when others couldn't. Cody had exceptional communication skills and worked with me to coordinate details. Service was friendly, timely, transparent and very helpful. Would recommend!

The Slocan Valley Seniors Housing Society was formed in 1995 and incorporated in 1997 to develop affordable seniors housing and related services. With tremendous support from the community and a committed group of volunteers the Society built and since 1999 has maintained the very successful 10 unit Passmore Lodge in Passmore, B.C. Community Groups use the Lodge for literacy art and intergenerational programs and for seniors fitness classes. It has maintained charitable status with Revenue Canada since incorporation.

Kirby is the owner of both the Fruitvale & Castlegar Valhalla Physio locations. Originally from Saskatchewan he graduated university in 1994 with a degree in physical therapy and moved to the West Kootenays in 2003 where he bought Valhalla. First and foremost Kirby considers himself a sport therapist and has a special interest in the assessment and treatment of the injured athlete. He has worked with athletes in a variety of sports but has a special passion for hockey. He has worked with hockey players from novice to professional, including members of Canada's Olympic Teams and several NHL players. Kirby is also certified by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and uses a variety of needle techniques to complement his Physiotherapy practice. He looks forward to many more years of helping the people of Castlegar, Fruitvale and all surrounding areas to KEEP MOVING.
