Qualified teacher with 30 years experience will tutor your child in your home or mine. Over the years I have taught all grades and subjects K-8. I am an early years math and reading specialist. With regards to reading I use the Science of Reading method comprised of more than 40 years of research pinpointing the pillars of any effective literacy program: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics and word recognition, fluency and vocabulary, and comprehension. Recently I tutored this program online to various schools and homes throughout Canada and the United States.
For math I would concentrate on mastery of key concepts in a systematic and step by step process using the curriculum.
I’m experienced in teaching students with significant learning issues and students who are EAL.( English is an additional language)
