The Bonnechere Caves Have Been Welcoming People From All Over The World For Over 55 Years. We Provide A Safe, Educational, Informative And Fun Tour For People Of All Ages. The Museum was founded as the Haliburton Highlands Pioneer Museum in 1967, as a Canadian Centennial project to commemorate the early pioneers of the area. The Rotary Club and a committee of interested citizens were behind it, including Ron Curry of Curry Motors fame & founder of the Rotary Club of Haliburton. Prominent as well were Haliburton school teachers Margaret Sisson & Clara 'Kell' Andison.
Nature Trails is a year round, soft wilderness nature adventure program, designed to introduce small groups of novice and experienced outdoor enthusiasts to the natural beauty and wildlife of Muskoka, Algonquin Park and Georgian Bay regions. On the frontier of nature programming, we continue to develop leading edge wilderness adventure experiences. Our naturalist staff strive to unfold the diverse and fragile complexity of the natural world by providing participants with unique, one-of-a-kind programs.
