Saint Mary's traces its earliest beginnings to 1802 when the Reverend Edmund Burke, later Bishop Burke, taught young men at the Glebe House, on the corner of Spring Garden Road and Barrington Street. The boys' school grew first into a college and then into a university, never wavering in its commitment to education and community service.
Carl Cann is a professional painter and sculptor. He has spent 37 years acquiring his aesthetic competence, and his work culturally significant.
The majority of his work is constituted of oil paintings. He paints landscapes and still lifes, as well as figurative nudes.
People may visit his studio, to see the recently finished paintings, as well as work in progress.
