Ledgers was conceptualized by a team of Chartered Accountants from Sydney Nova Scotia in 1994 when the need for consistent, professional and affordable accounting services was recognized. After a preliminary investigation, it was realized that the small business market in Canada could not afford the services available from CA's and the larger firms, while the services from the local 'bookkeeper' were not adequate.
