Located right at the main entrance to Granville Island sits the Granville Island Brewery. Due to their popularity I think it has been a long time since this location was their main production facility but that hasn't stopped them from turning this into a unique and fun tourist attraction on the Island. Offering tours daily, you can learn about how their beer is made and more about the history of this unique little piece of brewing history in Vancouver. Granville Island Brewery was one of the first microbreweries in Canada and obviously they did a great job because they started a revolution in the Canadian brewing industry and were even just acquired by Molson Coors earlier this year. After your tour you get to sit and enjoy a sampler tray of 3 different beers. Or, you can just skip the tour and belly up to the bar in the tasting room and try all of their great brews named after Vancouver neighbourhoods and landmarks. For a fun and interesting group outing hit the Granville Island Brewery and enjoy a taste of Vancouver History!Read more

Named after the Bimini Islands in the Bahamas, Bimini's first opened its doors in 1974 after being granted the Province's first Neighborhood Pub license. The busy bar was quickly embraced by the post Summer of Love-era hippie locals; environmental agency Greenpeace's head office was across the street, and many of their radical plots were hatched in strategy meetings over pints at Bim's.
Sitting atop the waters of Vancouver's Inner Harbour and just off the path of the famous Stanley Park seawall makes for great views of the non-stop urban activity on both water and land. Nestled amid the yachts and seaplanes of Coal Harbour Marina, Cardero's offers spectacular views of the local mountains and Burrard Inlet from the restaurant, pub and year-round patio. Choose from a selection of freshly-grilled fish, or try the juicy wild salmon baked on a cedar plank in a wood-burning oven. Other favourites are grilled steaks, wok squid and wood oven pizza. Sample some of the many B.C. wines-by-the-glass or the diverse selection of beer and ale as you extend your marina-side adventures in the adjoining pub. Cardero's offers a casual, upscale West Coast Menu in a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere.
Food is delicious and waiters are amazing !
But the staff at the front hostess desk are awful ! They are so rude and condescending ! Don’t let the first people that greet you or answer the phone give the wrong impression
Hire people that pre polite and friendly !!Read more
A stone's throw from Kits Beach, the Seawall and Burrard Street Bridge, this is where it all began for LOCAL Public Eatery. Inspired by the relaxed, Cali-Cool lifestyle & small beachtown vibes, we've taken cues to offer a year-round neighbourhood spot where you can comfortably eat, drink & hang out in the best company. We love seeing both new & familiar faces from those who live just around the corner, those who work down the street, to those who are simply in the area after shopping along West 4th or playing a game of pick up at the courts. We have 18 taps pouring local craft brews, the best sports fans in the house & a patio you'll never want to leave. Our neighbours along Yew St are also rad too. Oh, & don't forget to check out the view of the North Shore Mountains & English Bay. It's as iconic as our El Caesar & Crispy Chicken Sandwich.
As a lover of fine wines, classic whiskies and years of traditional brew training, I highly recommend this Craft brewery for unique and distinctive ales and beers. Read more

The Oakwood Canadian Bistro is a fun and unpretentious neighbourhood room specializing in down-to-earth Canadian fare and casual service. The bistro welcomes with a chic Canadian log cabin feel, while the name pays homage to the reclaimed wood materials used in the space, as well as Kitsilano's tree-themed street names. A staff of passionate industry professionals ensures a quality, welcoming experience. The concept for the Oakwood Canadian Bistro was drawn from classic French bistros, in which families invited the public into their homes to eat simply prepared, locally grown food in a warm, casual setting. Striving to utilize local, Canadian ingredients whenever possible, Executive Chef Michael Robbins and his team are guided by a food philosophy focused on fresh, house-made dishes influenced by French techniques. The small, seasonally changing menu caters to market availability and the sustainability of the products.
Going along Broadway I have noticed the restaurant many times and finally decided to drop in for brunch to give it a go. We sat outside, we didn't mind waiting for a table there. Service was fine and the food came fairly soon. I had an excellent smoked ham benedict which came with cubed fries and a very fresh salad.Read more
