Welcome to Cedar Ridge Camp!Cedar Ridge is a traditional summer camp for boys and girls ages 6-16 and a year-round outdoor education and group retreat centre. Our pristine 150-acre site is located in the heart of the Madawaska Highlands, near Bancroft, Ontario. Our 3,400 feet of shoreline border quiet Wannamaker Lake and we are in close proximity to the Madawaska River and Algonquin Provincial Park.Established in 2006, Cedar Ridge Camp provides a classic camp experience for children from Ontario and around the world. At Cedar Ridge, we offer a safe and friendly atmosphere for children to develop physical and emotional skills and values while learning to live together comfortably in an outdoor environment. A historical lakefront resort and marina conveniently located on the south shore of Rice Lake in the Village of Gore's Landing, just 15 minutes from Cobourg and Port Hope, 30 minutes from Peterborough and 90 minutes east of Toronto with many amenities nearby. We have several cottages over the water and none more than 150 feet from the water. Our marina is very well protected and offers seasonal and transient dockage and boat rentals, all supported by our many years of boating experience. Nestled in a protected bay with safe swimming and a small sandy beach, we offer 1, 2, 3 and 5 bedroom self-catering cottages in an idyllic setting overlooking the islands. Each cottage has its own unique personality. Quaint 1 and 2 bedroom waters edge cottages, very open and barn-lie 1920 McGaw Boathouse and the 1838 two-storey John Bennett Ferry House that served patrons of the old ferry dock still in use today as a public park. The kids will enjoy our themed weekend activities, or take the family on a day trip to explore Ottawa or the St. Lawrence river area.Our sites range from big-rig friendly 50 amp patio sites to large treed 30 amp back-in sites to our convenient deluxe cabins and lodges. Each site has a picnic table, fire ring, water source and electricity.Get away from the noise of the highway and bustle of the city in our beautiful, quiet, rural location. Nightly quiet hours between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM provide a secure and relaxing experience for our guests.NOTE: WE DO NOT HAVE SEWERS ON OUR SITES.
