However, in 2006 after the completion of a Downtown Revitalization Strategy focused on Miramichi's two downtowns the name DowntownS Miramichi - Newcastle Business District was adopted. Our sister Business Improvement Area is now known as DowntownS Miramichi - Historic Chatham Business District.Today, the DowntownS Miramichi - Newcastle Business District still holds the same objectives of the Newcastle Business Association for the owners and merchants within and around the Business Improvement Area.
