Phil has been cooking for the past 36 years and has been a chef for the past 34 years. You may have tasted his fine cuisine at Cocktail and Shotz in Midland or at Arthur's Fine Family Dining in Penetang. Most recently, Phil was the executive chef for Restaurant Sainte-Marie in Midland in 2003 who brought Lobsterfest to the place that summer. Phil now runs his own successful catering company, Phil's Catering, and has expanded to included party rentals — he is now THE one-stop shop for all your catering needs.
The Sultry Sow specializes in roasting whole hogs to lip smacking finger licking delicious perfection Our pigs are locally family farm raised and our produce and ingredients are sourced locally as much as possible. We are a small minded business centred on community and focused on ethical and sustainable products and practices. We are based in Elmvale and serve Springwater Township and surrounding area. We also service cottage country and Muskoka, no area is off limits so don't be afraid to ask!
We offer 2 different options. We can either roast and serve the entire pig for you and provide the typical fixins' for a pig roast feast or simply do the cooking. We pride ourselves on roasting our pigs low and slow until the meat falls off the bone. If you don't have the time to devote or simply want to enjoy your guests then leave it to us!
