Pair of Medics First Aid has been teaching lifesaving skills for several years, in the northern region of Vancouver Island, BC and now in the Alberni Valley. Pair of Medics First Aid Training was originally started because both Chris and Carla working as Primary Care Paramedics with the BC Ambulance Service would arrive on scenes and realize that most of the patients, that were critically ill or injured, could have had some lifesaving first aid provided to them prior to their arrival. Pair of Medics First Aid brings 24+ years of combined experience to the classroom. Chris and Carla are both certified training instructors with the Canadian Red Cross and are members in good standing with the local Chamber of Commerce. We provide the highest quality first aid equipment and supplies while offering our students a professional first aid program in a relaxed and fun environment. Nanwakolas serves as the vehicle through which the member First Nations regionally pursue land and marine resource planning and management and resourcebased economic development activities.The member First Nations have had, since time immemorial, a cultural connection with their traditional territories that is critical to the maintenance of their community, governance and economy. This cultural connection gives rise to Aboriginal rights, title and interests throughout their traditional territories.Nanwakolas, which in Kwakwala means 'a place we go to find agreement', advocates for the recognition, protection and promotion of its member First Nations' Aboriginal rights and interests in land and marine resource planning and management discussions with the provincial and federal provincial governments, as well as with industry and stakeholder groups.
