Pacific Rim Hospice Society provides care and support for individuals and families facing life-threatening illness, death and bereavement.Hospice volunteers and counsellors provide emotional care for the dying, the bereaved and those facing life threatening illness.Supported by a board of directors permanent part-time staff and 20 volunteers provide services to people living in Ucluelet, Tofino and the neighbouring First Nations communities.

WorkBC Tofino provides free assistance and support for job seekers and employers in Tofino and surrounding communities. Our location is at 381 Main Street is in the heart of Tofino’s downtown area. In our self-serve resource area you can update your resume, apply for jobs online, or use our printer, photocopier or fax machine. There are also available job search and job start supports for eligible unemployed clients who need help looking for work or to get started in a new job. Ask one of our Resource Centre Advisors about available WorkBC personal supports and services. Depending on eligibility, these include one-on-one employment counselling, group workshops, training supports, skills assessments, wage subsidy, self-employment services, and customized job placement. Employers too, are welcome to take advantage of available WorkBC employer resources to help you find and keep the workforce you need.

The View Gallery is a contemporary art gallery on the Nanaimo campus of Vancouver Island University, which presents all types of visual arts and designs made by students, community-members, and professional artists. A non-commercial site, the gallery presents a mixture of programming and art events that range from touring exhibitions to annual showcases of student art. The View Gallery is run and staffed by faculty members and students in the Department of Art and Design, within the Faculty of Art and Humanities.
