Atkinson Housing Co-op is conveniently located in the heart of one of Toronto's most diverse neighbourhoods. It includes Chinatown and Kensington Market. There are 147 apartments in two buildings and 263 town homes covering an 18 acre site. There is a Community Centre as well as Daycare Services for Atkinson members and residents. There are also two playgrounds and two basketball courts on site.

The Agency is the not-for-profit administrator of federal co-operative housing programs in B.C., Alberta, Ontario and PEI. We began to deliver services in the spring of 2006 under a contract with Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation.We invite visitors to use this site to learn more about the Agency and the programs we administer. Charles Hastings was incorporated in 1983 through the Co-operative Housing Federation of Toronto (CHFT). The first members moved in October 1984 and some of them still live here. Eight members volunteered to form the first Board of Directors and they, together with CHFT, oversaw the development of the Co-op. Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CHMC) provided a 35-year mortgage financing package under one of the Federal Housing Act programs.
